Desert Ruins

by Edward Bourelle

Uncover the lost treasures of a forgotten city or spend the night in the remnants of a crumbling building. e-Adventure Tiles: Desert Ruins is the first in a line of detailed desert terrain tiles that offer the same quality you have come to expect from SkeletonKey Games releases. This 16 tiles set contains 6 x 9 tiles that can be linked together to create a small encounter or cover your entire gaming table.

Set highlights include –
Crumbling walls with multiple elevations for different levels of cover
Elevated terrain for advantages (or disadvantages) in combat
Crumbling rock and bone details
And lots of sand (to kick in the face of your enemies)

Bonus tiles provide dungeon links.

e-Adventure Tiles are designed for use with miniatures by RPG cartographer Ed Bourelle.

The Bonus Tiles for this set can be found in e-Adventure Tiles: Annual 1

More than 50 FREE bonus tiles in one download.

I am not sorry that I purchased them - given the price, but these could have been so much better. I could pretty much put the same knocks unto most of the e-Adventure tiles. 1) They are not square. This is a very bit hit against these tiles. Bec [...]

A very good product, this expands the E-Z lines into the desert/wastelands. Hopefully, there will be an oasis pack soon, which will round things out nicely. [...]

Great set that compliments Desert Bluffs. Highly recommended for this unique setting. Ther is no Blank Tile in this set, but it is available as the free download tile for Desert Bluffs. I guess the only reservation about this set is that there a [...]

Like the other SKG tile sets this one is really nice. The only drawback is that all the tiles contain ruins, a couple of blank areas would have been nice. I hope further desert sets with blank sand, some dunes and perhaps an oasis will become a [...]

These are excellent tiles and they are expertly illustrated. They remind me of the Indian ruins in Arizona. You can put together a whole city if you want. A good buy.<br><br><b>QUALITY</b>: Excellent<br><br><b& [...]

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
